Miscellaneous News Items

For those who haven’t found it yet, I have a Facebook page: @DennisETaylor2 .

And I’m on Twitter: @Dennis_E_Taylor .

I’ve been using this blog as an announcement platform, but it’s really supposed to be more of a, you know, blog. I’ll still use the mailing list for book announcements, but for updates and such, Facebook and Twitter will be my primary medium, with more detail here as necessary.

And with that in mind, we’ve contracted with Kathleen Howard to edit book 3 of the bobiverse: All These Worlds. Book 2, For We Are Many, is in production at Audible. I’m still hoping for March and June release dates, although I’m hearing some rumbling of slippage.

There will also be a preorder date on each book, and the e-book, paperback, and audio versions will be released simultaneously.

I’ve read/listened to your book 3x in 2 weeks, and I’m about to start the 4th time.

You are a great author, love the cadence of events and attention to detail.

Have you considered doing a series about the world after Bobv1.0 but before Bobv2.0? The brief history given in the bobiverse sounds interesting enough, and I’d love to learn more details about the geopolitical events leading to what occurs when Heaven1 leaves.

I look forward to reading your works in the years to come.

    Best wishes,
    Alex

Actually, one of the items on my ideas list is to follow Bob’s family through the intervening years, culminating in Julia Hendricks’ meeting with Riker.

    1. Albert

Hell yeah, I would read that.

  3. Benton

Hey happy to here the book will be out before my B-day! Hope to have more news on the Outland series too!

Whatever you do, please get Ray Porter to do the audiobook again!
I listened to We Are Bob via Audible and half my faving review on Goodreads was fueled by Ray’s hilarious performance.

Either way, I can’t wait for March.

    1. Dennis E. Taylor

Ray is confirmed for books 2 & 3. He’s already started recording #2.

Love your work, haven’t read singularity trap, but was wondering if we can get a sample chapter of Outland bk 2?

    1. Dennis E. Taylor

Well, that’s a thought! I’ll see what I can do.

Just finished Book one and really enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to book two. How long does it typically take to get the kindle and audio versions of a newly released book Whispersynced?

  7. Craig

Just finished the audio book today. Only took 3 days to finish it, I just couldn’t put it down! Well done. I plan on listening to it again this weekend. The geek/nerd in me wants to create a Bob family tree. I think that would be neat to see on paper. I also can’t wait for book 2!

    1. Dennis E. Taylor

There’s a tree in the appendices in book 2.

      1. Craig

Will there be a way for audio listeners to get that?

        1. Dennis E. Taylor

All my books go to audio as well as e-book. And, unless a publisher negotiates some alternative clause, I try to release everything at the same time.

I loved the book and can’t wait for the next! Listening to the audio book has kept me sane in the early hours whilst tending to my newborn! Thanks

i have just started the We are Legion audiobook, and man, its great, what an awesome performance. the narrator does a great job and i think just makes the story that much better.

I would just like to request, please try and continue using either this blog or the mailing list for updates, i hate social media and would love to be able to stay up to date using the RSS feed from here and/or the mailing list.
i know im in the minority, so worse case just dont forget about those of us who cant handle using FB and twitter

Thanks for such GREAT work, im ready to give my money as soon as the remaining books are out!!

Hi, just downloaded the audiobook. Ray Porter is perfect for the narrator. I’m already sold on the sequels.
In the scene when Guppi reply’s “By your command” I burst out laughing, then supprised that in story Bob also is laughing. It’s been a long time since I related so closely to a character.

Please get yourself noticed for the Hugo’s

on a side note, have you ever read Larry Niven’s ‘A World out of Time”

    1. Dennis E. Taylor

Yes, I have, and I’m very aware of the opening premise similarity. However, once the protagonist wakes up, things diverge so quickly that I’m not really concerned.

Anyway, Niven is in the book. See if you can find him.

      1. Ivor

Oh we found him, great homage

  11. Samuel

I read everything you write in the voice of Ray Porter

    1. Dennis E. Taylor

Which voice? He seems to have a million of them.

  12. Drew

Fantastic Book! I am so happy, I just found the series and the second book is coming so soon. I can’t believe this book is so current. I never seem to be on the front side of things!

Careful about slippage. Butterworth will be furious.
